Built-Up Roofing
Built-up roofing (BUR) membranes have been in use for well over a century. Traditional applications consist of alternating plys of bitumen and tarred felt or fiberglass felt covered by a coating or gravel that protects the roof against harsh atmospheric conditions.
The unique makeup of coal tar or asphalt makes built-up roofing possibly one of the most desirable roofing and waterproofing systems known to the construction industry.
